Broadcasting across Glasgow on 87.9fm, 13th – 19th April, 2015.
Radiophrenia is a temporary art radio station based in Glasgow. Radiophrenia’s first season of broadcasts took the form of a week-long exploration into current trends in sound and transmission arts. Broadcasting live from the Centre for Contemporary Arts, the station aimed to promote radio as an art form, encouraging challenging and radical new approaches to the medium. The broadcast schedule included live shows, pre-recorded features and a daily series of ‘live-to-air’performances. The majority of the schedule was made up from selections submitted to an international open call for sound and radio works. We are grateful to all our listeners and supporters around the world, to the CCA for hosting the broadcasts, to Creative Scotland for funding the project and most importantly to all the artists who shared their work.
